The durable, “growing” alternative to a conventional irrigation edge, with a filling capacity of up to 140 litres.

An irrigation edge is one of the essential elements in gardening and landscape architecture. It is indispensable for carefully watering a newly planted tree. This method is now enhanced with the HDPE irrigation-edge water reservoir. The 30 cm-high edge, made from 1.5 mm-thick special plastic (HDPE), provides a high filling capacity while also protecting against unwanted effects of road salt during the winter months.

The irrigation edge is inserted 10 cm into the ground, leaving 20 cm above the surface. A GEFA connecting clip makes it easy to join the ends. The edge remains stable and supplies the root ball with water optimally. We recommend allowing for growth in the overlap. This allows the irrigation edge to be adjusted to further root growth in the future.

The new “clip” makes it much easier to extend the irrigation edge: as the tree’s root ball grows, the edge can easily be adjusted to its size.

The GEFA irrigation edge is UV-resistant, 100% recyclable and reusable.
