SAFETY NOTICE: Recall of the ROCK EXOTICA OMNI 1.1 pulley manufactured between February 2020 and October 2022

SAFETY NOTICE: Recall of ROCK EXOTICA OMNI BLOCK 1.1 Pulley manufactured from February 2020 to October 2022

The button assembly on a limited number of 1.1” Omni Swivels and related variants may not be secure.
If the button is extended, the side plate may open and the rope may fall out, resulting in serious injury or death.
It has been determined that a small number of pulleys manufactured from February 2020 to October 2022 may not have the appropriate
thread locking agent or sealant that would allow the set screw to be pulled out. Under normal circumstances it is
either a thread lock or sealant is sufficient to secure the button and prevent this problem.

Rock Exotica is recalling Omni Block 1.1” pulleys manufactured between February 2020 and October 2022.
These pulleys must be returned to the manufacturer for inspection/repair.

Rock Exotica also issues an inspection notice for all Omni Block pulleys manufactured from 2018 to October 2022.
The pulleys can be inspected by the user / competent person or if you are not comfortable with the inspection, you can return it directly to the manufacturer for inspection.
Inspection criteria are detailed at the end of the document.

All products should be inspected before and after each use.
For Omni pulleys this inspection should include buttons and set screws along with checking for cracks / warping / corrosion, side plate action, pulleys
and swivel eye, screws and overall condition.

Accordingly, we are including additional information on checking the button set screws for earlier Omnis manufactured before 2018.
