The large opening of the latch allows the carabiner to be used to connect to metal structures, steel ropes, or rods with a large diameter.
It has a detachable connection point for connection to different types of fasteners. If the fastener is damaged,
can be easily replaced.
The strength of hook carabiners (connectors) does not form the connection of the latch with the body
(as with classic carabiners), but the massive body itself - a hook.
The palm lock and hook lock are only used to ensure a secure connection to the structure,
when it prevents spontaneous disconnection. An open hook still has the same strength as a hook with a closed lock.
