CMC OUTBACK CONVERTIBLE is a lightweight modular harness designed for technical teams working in demanding and remote terrain. Depending on the task, the system can be used as a standalone sit harness or fitted with a chest section to create a complete full-body solution. It is suitable for rescue work, rope access, climbing, caving, tactical and military use.

The base is a narrow waist belt with a Cobra buckle, which can also be worn on its own. The leg straps attach without opening the waist belt and can be donned while wearing a backpack, skis, snowshoes or crampons. An aluminium D-ring provides a secure central attachment point.

The optional chest section connects quickly to the sit harness and adds a sternal attachment point suitable, for example, for backup systems or helicopter operations. A separate chest ascender kit, transport pouch and modular gear loops are also available.
