HMS carabiner with circular cross-section, lock safety and divider
Thanks to its compact shape and locking mechanism, this carabiner is ideal for belaying, connecting a belay device to a harness, or tying off with a Munter hitch. The integrated bar keeps the carabiner aligned in the main axis and prevents it from rotating. The H-shaped profile, created through hot-forged 3D construction, reduces weight without compromising strength. The KeyLock system prevents snagging during handling.
Use with the integrated bar:
- The removable bar keeps the carabiner aligned along the major axis and prevents it from rotating or being loaded across the gate
- The bar cannot be closed unless the gate is locked and the locking sleeve engaged
- The locking sleeve cannot be opened while the bar is in the closed position
Carabiner without the bar:
- Rope-bearing surfaces are optimized for smooth rope glide while minimizing material
- The locking sleeve has a new textured surface for improved handling
- Smooth interface between gate and body reduces the chance of catching slings or webbing
- KeyLock system prevents snagging of ropes or gear
- The SCREW-LOCK system features a lock indicator for added safety
- Friction zones help ensure smooth rope movement and ideal positioning at the anchor
