Gleistein is a German family-owned company founded in 1824 that has grown from a rope-making workshop in Bremen into a leading manufacturer of technical fiber-rope systems.
The company operates two state-of-the-art production facilities – one in Germany and another in Slovakia – where ropes are produced from premium materials, with a strong focus on precision engineering, innovative finishing technologies, and long service life.
Gleistein places a very high emphasis on sustainability: it uses recycled or bio-based raw materials such as bio-Dyneema® and fibers derived from PET bottles, and it actively works to reduce the ecological footprint of its manufacturing processes.
