The NOTCH PORT-A-WRAP 19 stainless steel lowering device is a proven friction device designed for controlled lowering of heavy loads during arborist rigging operations. It enables smooth and predictable friction when lowering branches, trunk sections, or blocks without damaging the tree.

Unlike wrapping the rope around a tree trunk, the Port-A-Wrap provides constant and repeatable friction, allowing the ground worker to focus fully on load dynamics. The device installs quickly, wraps easily with rope, and unwraps simply between lowering operations.

The stainless steel construction ensures high resistance to corrosion, moisture, salt, and high temperatures. The seamless main tube maximizes the strength-to-weight ratio and increases overall mechanical durability. All edges are chamfered to prevent rope damage.

A tree-protecting cap is also included to prevent damage to the trunk during installation.
