GEFAguard® ROOT BARRIER HDPE is a durable root and rhizome barrier designed to protect infrastructure from uncontrolled root growth. It creates a strong separation layer between the root system and protected areas such as pavements, roads, cable routes, sewers, pipelines or building foundations. The material is suitable for all common root types as well as aggressively growing bamboo.

The barrier is made of high-density polyethylene (HDPE) with a thickness of 2 mm. It is flexible and resistant to UV radiation, microorganisms and chemicals commonly found in soil. It is also 100% recyclable. The manufacturer states a service life of at least 100 years.

It is supplied in 25 m rolls and in several heights depending on the required installation depth. Individual strips can be joined during installation using suitable GEFAguard® connecting profiles.
