The EDELRID PROTECTOR MAX is a modular rope protector designed to protect ropes during work at height, arboriculture, and rope access operations. The base consists of a durable textile pad with foam filling that protects the rope from abrasion and edge damage.

The product includes replaceable aluminium inserts (PROTECTOR MAX SHIELD) with reinforced geometry that maintain their shape under load and significantly reduce friction during rope movement.

The design is based on a modular system that can be adapted to specific use conditions. The inserts can be easily positioned using hook-and-loop fastening or completely removed, allowing the protector to be used as a textile-only solution.

Thanks to its flexible construction, the protector can also be used as a sleeve around the rope (longitudinally or transversely), and multiple segments can be connected together. This allows effective protection even in complex rope paths, sharp edges, or multiple directional changes. With dimensions of 70 × 50 cm, the protector provides sufficient coverage even for more demanding setups.

Integrated loops allow fixation to structures or attachment of redirecting elements. The back side is reinforced with three Hypalon strips, increasing durability and preventing the protector from slipping.
