The DW2 and DW3 Drill Winches by At Height Ltd are precision-engineered lifting and lowering devices designed for both materials handling and personnel operations. Suitable for a wide range of applications—including work at height, technical rescue, rigging, and lifting—these winches are drill-operated and built for safety, reliability, and performance.
The device is CE certified according to the Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC as a LIFTING SYSTEM FOR PERSONS AND GOODS USING A ROPES and comply the requirements of the Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC, Annex 4, Part 17, and all essential health and safety requirements listed in Annex 1.
DW2 Features
- Drill-operated lifting winch with integrated progress capture pulley
- 8:1 gear ratio for assisted lifting
- Friction bar system for controlled lowering (rope must be manually fed)
- Drill must rotate counter-clockwise for lifting
- Compatible with EN1891 type A ropes:
- 8mm rope → max load 50 kg
- 9.5mm rope → max load 100 kg
- 11mm rope → max load 200 kg
- Max. climbing speed: 60 m/min (depending on the power source)

- Minimum drill torque: ≥ 100Nm (do not use impact or hammer drills)
