DISTEL
DISTEL is a German brand specialising in professional tree climbing spurs (steigeisen) designed to offer comfort, durability and safety for arborists working at height. The product line originated with Ulrich Distel, who began crafting his first climbers in 1989 and has since developed them into high-quality gear trusted by tree professionals worldwide.
DISTEL products are known for their excellent materials and craftsmanship, ergonomic designs tailored for long climbing sessions, and a range of options including aluminium, carbon and steel spurs. All models are produced in Europe with a focus on precision and long service life.
The brand works closely with industry experts and continually refines its products based on real-world arborist needs — resulting in spurs that combine lightweight construction, anatomical fit and resilience under tough conditions.
DISTEL is a choice for professionals who demand robust, comfortable and reliable equipment for intensive tree climbing and work at height.
