PETZL AVAO 2025 EU is a full-body work harness designed for professional work at height, work positioning, fall arrest and abseiling. The European version combines low weight, a comfortable design and versatile attachment options for work equipment.

The semi-rigid waist belt and leg loops with shaped foam padding provide support and comfort during prolonged work and suspension in the harness. Widely spaced shoulder straps reduce friction around the neck, while their sliding design allows greater freedom of movement. Contact areas, including the shoulder straps, are lined with breathable material.

The front attachment point is a metal D-ring for connecting a descender, a positioning lanyard or the PODIUM and LITEPOD work seats. It also includes a textile eye that allows a lanyard to be connected using a removable RING OPEN ring.

The two fold-away metal side attachment points are for work positioning. When not in use, they can be folded away to prevent obstruction and snagging on surrounding structures. Elastic connecting straps between the waist belt and leg loops help keep the harness correctly adjusted while walking and when suspended.

The shoulder straps, waist belt and leg loops are fitted with DOUBLEBACK self-locking buckles with anti-slip parts. They allow precise size adjustment and help keep the straps at the adjusted length during work.

For equipment organization, the harness has five shaped gear loops with protective sheathing and two slots for CARITOOL holders or the INTERFAST system. Connector parking holders for fall-arrest lanyards can also be installed on the shoulder straps.

The rear attachment point is for connecting a fall-arrest system. Unlike the international INT version, it does not have an integrated fall indicator.

What is the difference between PETZL AVAO EU and INT?

Both PETZL AVAO 2025 versions are designed for professional work at height, work positioning and abseiling. They meet European standards and share the same basic construction. They differ mainly in weight, certain safety features and the range of certifications.

PETZL AVAO EU is the lighter version for workers who need European certifications.

PETZL AVAO INT offers a wider range of international certifications, a fall indicator and pre-installed connector parking holders. It is especially suitable for workers who also need to meet US or Canadian requirements.

Both versions are certified for use in the EU.
