PETZL ASTRO 2025 EU is a full-body work harness designed for professional rope access, rope ascent and work at height. The European version combines low weight, a comfortable design and an integrated CROLL L chest ascender.

The semi-rigid waistbelt and leg loops with 3D foam padding provide support and comfort during prolonged work and when suspended in the harness. Widely spaced shoulder straps reduce friction around the neck, while the sliding strap design allows greater freedom of movement. Contact areas feature breathable lining.

The openable front attachment point allows direct attachment of PROGRESS ADJUST or JANE lanyards and PODIUM or LITEPOD work seats. The integrated CROLL L chest ascender makes rope ascent easier and ensures an efficient arrangement of the ascent system.

Two fold-down metal side attachment points are designed for work positioning. When not in use, they can be folded away to avoid obstruction or snagging on surrounding structures.

The waistbelt features self-locking aluminium DOUBLEBACK PLUS buckles for easy strap-length adjustment. The leg loops and left shoulder strap have FAST opening buckles for quick donning and removal without readjustment. The right shoulder strap has a self-locking DOUBLEBACK buckle with an anti-slip lock.

For equipment organisation, the harness has seven shaped gear loops, two slots for CARITOOL holders or the INTERFAST system, and two loops for TOOLBAG pouches. Parking clips for fall-arrest lanyard connectors can be fitted to the shoulder straps. An adjustable hook-and-loop strap allows an ASAP'SORBER energy absorber to be attached.

The dorsal attachment point with an aluminium ring is used to connect a fall-arrest system. Unlike the INT international version, it does not have an integrated fall indicator.

What is the difference between PETZL ASTRO EU and INT?

Both PETZL ASTRO 2025 harness versions are designed for professional rope access and meet European standards. They differ mainly in weight, certain design features and the range of certifications.

PETZL ASTRO EU is the lighter option for workers who need European certifications.

PETZL ASTRO INT offers a wider range of international certifications, a fall indicator and pre-installed parking clips for connectors. It is particularly suitable for workers who also need to meet US or Canadian requirements.

Both versions are certified for use in the EU.
