PETZL ABSORBICA® is a compact energy absorber, designed for use in combination with the JANE lanyard to create a fall-arrest lanyard with a maximum length of up to 2 meters, including connectors. Its small size and low weight make it suitable for everyday professional use when working at height.

The absorber uses a tear-webbing system with progressive energy absorption, which gradually deploys during a fall to reduce the impact force on the user. The design is optimized for users weighing between 60 and 140 kg, including equipment, with progressive deployment limiting abrupt deceleration, especially for lighter users.

The webbing is housed in a durable textile pouch that protects it from abrasion and dirt. The pouch is openable at both ends, allowing easy and regular visual inspection of the absorber. ABSORBICA® offers two attachment options to the harness, depending on usage and connection frequency.
