The strength of hook carabiners (couplings) does not form the connection of the latch with the body
(as with classic carabiners), but the massive body itself - a hook.
The palm lock and hook lock are only used to ensure a secure connection to the structure,
when it prevents spontaneous disconnection. An open hook still has the same strength as a hook with a closed lock.
