ISC REFLEX V2 is the second generation of the ISC REFLEX mechanical hitch for arborist climbing in MRT and SRT systems. It retains the same body, frames and lower link system as the original REFLEX, while introducing targeted design changes to the device’s most heavily loaded upper section.

The most significant change is the redesigned upper links, with more material and a larger radius at the contact surfaces, which extends their service life. The longer upper links also create greater torque when gripping the rope, providing a more secure and consistent grip. A greater proportion of friction is also transferred to the lower links, resulting in more even wear across the system.

The new dual-spring upper-link system increases its range of movement while maintaining resistance similar to that of the original REFLEX. The revised upper axle and a new cleaning port make regular cleaning and lubrication easier, while the reinforced upper plate better resists accidental bending and damage during normal handling.

In accelerated wear tests conducted under the same conditions for the original REFLEX and REFLEX V2, V2 showed a significant improvement in upper-link durability and a longer service life.
