EDELRID INTERSTATIC PROTECT 11.0 mm is a Type A static rope with increased cut resistance thanks to the integration of high-strength aramid fibres into the sheath. Compared with static ropes of a similar diameter and sheath proportion, it offers almost twice the cut resistance, making it a suitable choice for work in environments with sharp edges or wherever a higher safety margin is required. The manufacturer also points out that increased resistance does not replace proper rope protection over edges.

The low static elongation of 2% supports precise work and efficient rope ascents. The Thermo Shield finish ensures comfortable handling, while tracer threads in the sheath allow quick identification of the rope diameter. The 11.0 mm night-colour version has been tested by the manufacturer for use with the ActSafe ACC powered ascender. The rope is made in Germany.
