DISTEL SPIKESTEP is a compact foot ascender designed for direct mounting on tree-climbing spurs. It uses the proven Climbing Technology Quick-Step clamping mechanism and a specially developed DISTEL steel mounting plate.

The 1.5 mm-thick steel plate mounts directly between the spur spike and shaft, so no additional clamping plates, spacers or textile fasteners are needed. The result is a firm, compact connection without play. The rope runs beside the spike, reducing the risk of damage.

The ascender is compatible with all DISTEL spurs, including older models, as well as carbon and steel tree-climbing spurs. An integrated safety lever prevents the rope from slipping out unintentionally and makes it easier to insert.
