The COBRA identification end cap is used to mark installed tree cabling systems. The colour coding allows quick identification of the installation year, while the printed marking indicates the load rating of the system used (2t / 4t / 8t).

The end cap is placed over the end of the hollow rope and shrinks when heated, creating a clean, tapered finish suitable for further handling and splicing. At the same time, it protects the rope end from fraying.

If required, the end cap can also be used without shrinking as a visual identification marker placed on the rope.

It is used as part of both static and dynamic COBRA tree cabling systems.
